Expropriation is a growing area of our practice. This covers
the taking or land for public use, or the creation of a statutory right
of way, for uses such as overhead transmission lines or underground sewage
lines, that impact the value of your land. It can also covers the
loss of business revenues due to disturbance to the property in
question.

Property taxes are one of the largest cost items for
commercial property owners and their tenants. Parkes & Company Ltd. specializes
in assisting clients in reducing the taxes payable either through the
appeal process or through ongoing discussions with the Assessment
